Marlies Bredel: OK, so if your mother’s aging and you know you need to talk to her about moving, how do you go about that? How do you start the conversation? And I thought that a reality show would depict and share “Hey, you’re not the only one going through this. You’re not the only one transitioning. There’s so many other people going through needing to talk to their parents, having to go from a beautiful home—your husband’s died and now you have to go live in assisted living.”
Which actually, some of them are quite beautiful. There’s one I went to last week—I would move in there tomorrow. Happy hour, piano bar, beautiful buffet. It’s gorgeous, right?
